A beautiful handmade patchwork quilt, featuring charming little sailboats and thoughtfully made to be used, loved and treasured.

Featuring a delightful collection of sailing boats made from lovely Tilda fabrics, this charming quilt has a gentle, nostalgic appeal. The soft shades of blue, cream and muted floral prints are beautifully complemented by a warm sandy-beige background, creating a peaceful seaside feel.

Each little sailboat has been individually pieced using carefully selected fabrics, with patterned sails, contrasting hulls and tiny flags adding delightful detail. The boats are arranged in neat rows across the quilt, creating a lovely sense of rhythm and movement, as though a little fleet is sailing across calm waters.

The all-over quilting features graceful swirling patterns, reminiscent of gentle sea breezes and rolling waves. These flowing designs add beautiful texture while complementing the nautical theme. A soft blue binding provides a lovely finishing touch.

The quilt has a soft cotton flannel backing, featuring a delicate scattered print on a creamy background. This adds an extra touch of warmth and comfort, making the quilt especially cosy and inviting.

Made using traditional patchwork techniques, the Tilda fabrics have been carefully selected, with each sailboat individually cut and pieced on a domestic sewing machine. The quilt has been professionally machine quilted for durability, making it practical for everyday use while still being something special to keep.

Made from natural cotton fabrics and wadding, with the added softness of a cotton flannel backing, this lovely quilt is perfect for snuggling under, draping over a single bed or adding a gentle seaside charm to a bedroom.

This quilt was originally made by Karen as a demonstration quilt for Rainbow Patchwork. A lovely opportunity to own a unique, handmade quilt.
