A beautiful handmade patchwork quilt, bursting with colour and thoughtfully made to be used, loved and treasured.

Featuring a striking combination of vibrant lime greens, rich purples, lavender and deep violet, this cheerful quilt has a fresh, contemporary appeal. The carefully selected fabrics bring together a delightful variety of tonal prints, delicate florals, leafy patterns and playful spots, creating a wonderful mix of colour and texture.

The patchwork design features an arrangement of squares framed by contrasting strips of fabric, creating a lively geometric pattern with a lovely sense of movement. The combination of bright greens and rich purples makes this quilt a real eye-catcher, perfect for adding a splash of colour to any room.

The all-over quilting features gentle, flowing swirls and loops, adding beautiful texture while softening the strong geometric lines of the patchwork. The stunning multicoloured backing features a painterly, almost watercolour-like design in shades of purple, blue, turquoise, pink and orange, giving the quilt a completely different look when turned over. A charming purple spotted binding completes the quilt.

Made using traditional patchwork techniques, the fabrics have been carefully selected, with each piece individually cut and pieced on a domestic sewing machine. The quilt has been professionally machine quilted for durability, making it practical for everyday use while still being something special to keep.

Made from natural cotton fabrics and wadding, this generously sized throw is soft, comfortable and perfect for snuggling under, draping over a sofa or adding a cheerful splash of colour to a bedroom or living space.

This quilt was originally made by Karen as a demonstration quilt for Rainbow Patchwork. A lovely opportunity to own a unique, handmade quilt.
