A beautiful handmade patchwork quilt, inspired by the colourful wonders of the ocean and thoughtfully made to be used, loved and treasured.

Featuring a stunning underwater scene surrounded by a delightful collection of marine-themed fabrics, this charming quilt brings the magic of the ocean to life. The central picture panel is filled with colourful tropical fish, seahorses, jellyfish and vibrant coral, creating a wonderful underwater world with plenty of fascinating details to explore.

The surrounding patchwork features a beautiful combination of ocean blues, turquoise, aqua and deep teal, with prints depicting fish, coral and other treasures of the sea. Carefully arranged rectangular panels and smaller squares frame the central illustration, creating a lovely sense of depth and movement. A rich, deep blue border brings the whole design together.

The all-over quilting features gentle, flowing wave-like patterns, adding beautiful texture while complementing the underwater theme. The contrasting aqua and teal backing features a striking abstract design reminiscent of underwater bubbles and coral, giving the quilt a completely different look when turned over. A coordinating dark blue binding completes the quilt.

Made using traditional patchwork techniques, the fabrics have been carefully selected, with each piece individually cut and pieced on a domestic sewing machine. The quilt has been professionally machine quilted for durability, making it practical for everyday use while still being something special to keep.

Made from natural cotton fabrics and wadding, this lovely quilt is soft, comfortable and suitable for a single bed. Perfect for adding a splash of ocean colour to a bedroom, snuggling under while reading or simply enjoying the wonderful underwater scenes.

This quilt was originally made by Karen as a demonstration quilt for Rainbow Patchwork. A lovely opportunity to own a unique, handmade quilt.
