A beautiful handmade patchwork quilt, inspired by the wonders of the ocean and thoughtfully made to be used, loved and treasured.

Featuring a delightful collection of colourful underwater prints, this striking quilt brings together beautiful shades of ocean blue, turquoise, aqua and deep navy. The fabrics are filled with fascinating marine life, including colourful fish, seahorses, coral, starfish and other little treasures of the sea, with plenty of lovely details to discover.

The carefully arranged patchwork squares create a wonderful interplay of colour and pattern, with lighter blues contrasting against the rich, darker underwater scenes. A deep blue inner border frames the design, while the vibrant aqua outer border adds a fresh, cheerful finish.

The all-over quilting features playful overlapping circles, reminiscent of bubbles rising through the water. This adds beautiful texture and movement while complementing the underwater theme. The soft aqua backing, featuring delicate seahorses and marine motifs, is equally lovely and gives the quilt a completely different look when turned over.

Made using traditional patchwork techniques, the fabrics have been carefully selected, with each piece individually cut and pieced on a domestic sewing machine. The quilt has been professionally machine quilted for durability, making it practical for everyday use while still being something special to keep.

Made from natural cotton fabrics and wadding, this generously sized quilt is soft, comfortable and perfect for snuggling under, draping over a sofa or adding a beautiful splash of ocean colour to a room.

This quilt was originally made by Karen as a demonstration quilt for Rainbow Patchwork.
