A beautiful handmade quilt featuring charming heart blocks made from May Gibbs print fabrics, celebrating much-loved Australian characters, wildlife and native flora.

Set against a soft pale blue background, each heart captures a different part of the delightful May Gibbs prints, creating lots of little details to discover. The gentle colours and scattered heart design give the quilt a fresh, whimsical feel that would be lovely for a baby or young child.

The quilt has been carefully pieced and machine quilted with an all-over design, adding beautiful texture while allowing the heart blocks to remain the feature. The coordinating print binding has been hand sewn down, giving the quilt a traditional, carefully finished edge.

Made from natural cotton fabrics and wadding, the quilt is soft, practical and designed to be used, loved and treasured.

This quilt was originally made by Karen as a demonstration quilt for Rainbow Patchwork and has not been used as a cot quilt. It has been washed once to remove any shop dust and is ready for its new home.

Care
