Handmade Australian Kangaroo Cot Quilt 32" x 39" (81 × 99 cm)

Handmade Australian Kangaroo Cot Quilt

32" x 39" (81 × 99 cm)

A beautiful handmade cot quilt featuring a gentle Australian bush scene, with a mother kangaroo and joey at its centre, surrounded by native animals and flowers.

Soft, earthy colours of warm browns, greys and muted greens give this quilt a lovely natural feel. Koalas, a kookaburra, wombat and other Australian wildlife appear around the borders, making it a particularly sweet quilt for a baby or young child.

The quilt has been made using a printed fabric panel, carefully complemented with coordinating fabrics. It has been machine quilted throughout, adding texture and definition to the animals and foliage while making the quilt durable enough to be enjoyed and used.

The binding has been hand sewn down, giving the quilt a traditional, carefully finished edge.

This quilt was originally made by Karen as a demonstration quilt for Rainbow Patchwork and has not been used as a cot quilt. It has been washed once to remove any shop dust and is ready for its new home.
