I made this size quilt using 25 fat eights - this pack is available. Finished size - 135cm (52") x 135cm (52") In summary the requirements are: 25 fat eighths - or 12 fat quarters - or Scraps - 4" x 19" needed for each 'cross' Other tools you will need Cutting mat. Classes 2017 Classes are held at a variety of times to fit in the the diverse lives we all lead. if the shop is closed at the time of the class the 'doors will open' at the time the class is scheduled to start, not earlier. Please view the list of class requirements and bring these to the class. Classes have a maximum of 6 attendees and are priced to reflect this. Finishing a Quilt

BACKING The backing needs to be 8” longer and wider than the quilt top.It is convenient to use wide-back fabric (108” wide).Or you can piece together any fabrics to make a back the correct size. Remember to always cut selvedges off before joining. WADDING/BATTING Use what ever type suits your needs - cotton, wool, bamboo, polyester, cotton/poly blends, wool/poly blends. 100% cotton is good for warmer climates.Wadding comes in many widths:1.5m (59”), 2.4m (95”) and 3.1m (122”).The wadding also needs to be 8” longer and wider than the quilt top. Modern Colours for Baby   I really enjoyed the combination of deep purple, orange, yellow and green complementing the greys in the quilt. The images of the animals and their babies are lovely resulting in a modern looking quilt. If you wanted to make a larger quilt you could just use two kits. The size of the illustrated quilt is 46" x 54" (120cm x 140cm) and a kit is available.   Another Colour way.
