Rainbow Patchwork is a specialist patchwork and quilting store owned and managed by Karen.
Bright colours abound, and quilts are displayed everywhere in the shop. Our stock has increased since we first opened on Mothers Day in May 2011, we now have over 3000 bolts of fabric and a wide range of useful quilting tools and notions.
There are lots of quilts filling the shop illustrating different fabric ranges and techniques both of patchwork and quilting designs. Karen is experienced in many forms of patchwork and is on hand for advice, as is Glenda. All the quilts displayed in the shop are made by Karen and quilted on the Gammil long arm quilting machine. Karen has been teaching patchwork since the mid 1990’s and continues to enjoy designing, making and teaching patchwork.
We have some great Australian fabric designers such as Anni Downs and Emma Jean Jansen and we stock many of these ranges. We also stock a lovely variety of Indigenous fabrics, along with a wide range of solids to enable you to find the right fabric to fit in the quilt. We stock about 300 Bella solids by Moda, a lot of Cotton Supreme by RJR and more. We also carry the Jinny Beyer Palette and other tone on tone ranges. Jelly rolls and Layer cakes are also available. Many patchwork and quilting supplies and associated notions- rulers, templates, cutters, paper pieces, patterns, pins, markers, threads etc.
Karen makes up lots of patterns and kits for small projects such as table runners and small wall hangings and kids quilts - a great way to get started or great as gifts.
A long arm quilting service is available for edge to edge quilting with a turn around rate of about a week. We have about 200 patterns stitched out helping you select the design you would like. There is also a large range of backings and wadding to choose from.
